binutils-z80 software package provides GNU binary utilities for the z80-unknown-coff target, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install binutils-z80
binutils-z80 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the binutils-z80 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep binutils-z80 *
